Wired Magazine is my all-time favorite magazine. Surprised it’s not a design mag? Grab a printed issue sometime. You’ll be inspired by Wired’s insanely creative layouts, their explosive use of color, and their imaginative use of type.
If you can peel your eyes away from the artistic layout, you’ll be blown away by the articles. Information heaven for tech nerds like myself, Wired is the only magazine that I read cover-to-cover every month. You can check it out online for free at www.wired.com, or for the best Wired experience, subscribe to the printed version of the magazine for only $10/year.
Think I’m wrong? What’s your favorite design magazine?

Decibel is a good magazine for design ideas. It’s actually a metal music magazine, but they use creative layouts with great photography. Rolling Stone used to be good too (it still may be, but I haven’t read it in quite some time..think 1994 Kurt Cobain death issue.)
I’ll check out WIRED..
Communication Arts and HOW are also great (for the traditional design publications)

I’ll have to check out Decibel! If you can, try to get a printed version of Wired — it’s so much better than the online version!
I haven’t looked at Wired in a while but will check it out the next time i’m at the bookstore. Real Simple magazine has some pretty cool cut paper/ origami type photos in their mag. I guess they use them as section title pages. Nevertheless they are totally cool. I even emailed them once to find out who does them.

Hi Keisha! I’ll check out Real Simple — I don’t think I’ve every looked at that one before. Thanks!
