Designers use symbols every day. And, there are many websites that offer comprehensive lists of every symbol imaginable. Instead, I have created a one-page list with what I believe to be the most commonly used symbols for Mac, PC and html.
I’m hoping that you will find this useful enough to print out and keep at your desk. Click here to download the Creative Opera symbol shortcut list.

I don’t like the image buttons on the right – they look blurry on my screen. ie the text doesn’t have the same anti-aliasing as browser generated text (obviously, but it sticks out here). criticism is good for all. it made me wonder if its possible to create that whole graphic just using css, hm. nice graphics otherwise. hey do you have a good link for writing the jscript that’s best used for those one page scrollers – that’s how i found you blog, i have to make one for my final multimedia class at uni. cheers

Hey Daniel,
Thanks for the critique! I always meant to find the time to redesign Creative Opera. I was so anxious to get it started that I just grabbed a template and started customizing it — all with the intention of redesigning asap. I felt the important part of a blog is the content, so I started there and still plan to update the design when I can find the time. You’re right, those graphic probably could be created with CSS/HTML — but for now, they will have to do
There are tons of sites that can help you with your project. I just Googled “how to create smooth scroll website javascript” and found quite a few. Your teacher should also be able to help you — it’s hard for me to point you in the right direction without knowing the details of your assignment — so your teacher should be able to give you resources that will be exactly what you need. Here are a few of my favorite posts from some of my favorite blogs:
