Creative Opera has made it to Alltop! Not only am I proud, but I’m thrilled to have found such an awesome resource. By creating my own custom page, I have all of the latest articles from all of my favorite websites, all in once place.
I’m so excited that Creative Opera has been accepted and added to the Design topic on Alltop. I’m also pretty geared up about the time and energy Alltop now saves me every day. I no longer have to scroll through miles of text in my RSS reader. I no longer have to go through countless bookmarks looking for new content on my favorite websites. Now, I can just pull up my custom Alltop page, and easily see which of my favorite blogs have new posts. I can even view an excerpt to see how interesting the post might be. Because stories refresh every hour, I can return to Alltop throughout the day looking for new stuff. It’s just too easy.
So how do you create your own custom page on Alltop?
1. Go to the Alltop homepage and click the Create an Account button in the top right portion of the page and fill out the bright orange form.
2. Use either the search bar, the main topic buttons or the alphabetical list to start looking for topics that interest you. Most of my topics are design-related (Design, Web Design, Adobe) but I also have mixed in topics like Blogging, Football, and Twitter.
3. Once you find a topic you like, click the plus sign next to any site that you would like to add to your page. You’ll know if you have already added a site because you’ll see the green checkmark. If you want to know more about the headlines you see, scroll over them for a pop-up box with a date and excerpt for that post.
4. Once you have your page all set up, it’s easy to reorder your sites. Click the Manage button in the top right corner of the page. You’ll see a large list of all of the sites that you chose for your page. You can click the X next to the site name to delete that site from your list. To reorganize the order of your sites, just grab the site name and pull. You can drag and drop it wherever you want on the page to change the order. When you are satisfied, just click the Save Changes button at the top right of the page.
5. Now, when you want to check content on your favorite sites, you can just log onto your custom Alltop page and see everything in one place. You can always add, delete, or reorder your sites. Brilliant!
I hope you enjoy your new Alltop page, and I hope you’ll remember to add Creative Opera to your list
