Thanks so much for your thoughts, Pam! I was sure I'd get a bunch of nasty comments from Alyssa Milano fans! It's nice to know I'm not the only one rolling my eyes at those RT's :D

LOL! You're not kidding! When I first started using Twitter, I was AMAZED at all of the insanely useful information it provided. I used to just buy books (tons of books) whenever I needed to learn something new. Twitter has introduced me to so many new resources that I don't think I've purchased a new book in six months.

Twitter has really given me a whole new outlook. I remember when I was in high school. I was the only person in my entire class who really cared about art. Then, in college, I was amazed to be surrounded by creative people. It felt so good to be around people who appreciated the same things I did. You lose that when you work from home, and Twitter has really filled that void for me.

I do see the value of Facebook for friendly conversation, but I think you're right. It's not the place to upgrade your professional skills :)

Yeah. I think people were getting tired of the longs lists people were sending out on Fridays also. Some people didn't even tweet on Fridays - it was just one #FF list after another! I still miss it though.
